I am a PhD Candidate in Economics & Econometrics at the University of St. Gallen, based at the Swiss Institute for Empirical Economic Research (SEW) and supervised by Prof. Michael Lechner. I will be on the 2026/2027 job market. My research is on causal inference, treatment effect estimation, and policy learning, with applications in health economics.

My job market paper, Do Drug Consumption Rooms Reduce Drug-Related Hospitalizations? Evidence from Switzerland, uses the staggered introduction of drug consumption rooms across Swiss cities and the universe of Swiss hospital records to estimate their effect on drug-related hospitalizations. In spring 2026 I was a visiting researcher at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, funded by an SNSF DocMobility Grant. I hold a Master in Data Analytics and Economics from the University of Fribourg and a Bachelor in Economics from the Universidad de las Américas, Ecuador.
